Iterative hardware from scratch.
A chronological archive of custom 3D printed parts, belt-driven pen plotters, and automated workbench hacks. No over-engineered perfection, just raw functional builds documented step by step.
The build timeline
Real-time tracking of active prototypes, mechanical failures, and breakthrough calibration moments straight from the late-night workbench logs.
Belt-driven vector plotting
v1.4
Stable Plot
Swapped the generic linear rails for custom PETG brackets and off-the-shelf GT2 belts. Solved the carriage play issues after three failed bracket prints.
High-speed frame rigidity
500mm/s
Print Speed
Reinforced the frame corners with thick-walled PLA corner braces. Tuned the input shaper to eliminate ghosting during high-acceleration infill passes.
Smart sensor integration
VOC
Auto-Trigger
Wired an MQ-135 sensor to trigger the extraction fan automatically when soldering begins. Housed the entire assembly in a custom-sliced matte black duct.
